Sunbury is a developing regional city with the magnificent Macedon Ranges as its backdrop. Maintaining its significant community feel and located just 40 minutes north of Melbourne and only 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport. Home to the heritage listed Rupertswood Mansion and the birthplace of the 'Ashes' it is also the closest wine region to Melbourne.

The Calder Highway and Tullamarine Freeway provide easy access to the Melbourne CBD. If using public transport, both V-Line and the recent extension of Metro Train are available to and from the town centre while getting around town is easy with an excellent bus network servicing the residential areas.

The town centre is home to the Sunbury Square Shopping Centre, a number of supermarkets, large department and specialty stores and a cinema. O’Shanassy street is fast becoming the cultural heart beat of the town with its growing number of modern cafés and restaurants including the highly rated VICS.



The town’s education needs are met by high quality public and private schools made up of eight primary schools and three secondary schools including Salesian College set on the magnificent grounds of Rupertswood.

Sporting culture is an integral part of the community and a large number of outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities support the many community based clubs including AFL, soccer, cricket, netball, golf, tennis, badminton, basketball, lawn bowls, cricket, dancing, horse riding, swimming, tennis, rugby league, Scouts and Girl Guides.
